Your work profile
As an Assistant Manager in our Compliance Team, you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client we must ask RM team to check with us before they action on such business request:
- Knowledge/Experience in Compliance domain of 2+ year.
- Lead compliance advisory engagements with support from the team, ensuring adherence to internal engagement SOPs and quality standards.
- Demonstrate a detailed understanding of engagement deliverables to effectively interact with clients, including compliance audit draft reports, Regulatory Management Manuals, and compliance frameworks.
- Conduct compliance audits and gap assessments to evaluate adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements and recommend corrective actions.
- Strong legal drafting, contract review, legal agreement vetting, policy drafting, and contractual risk assessment skills, with the ability to identify legal and commercial risks, recommend risk-mitigation measures, and translate legal requirements into practical business solutions.
- Provide legal and regulatory advisory support across multi-sector industries, including Marine, shipping, pharmaceuticals, NBFCs, and heavy manufacturing.
- Interpret and implement applicable central and state legislation to ensure comprehensive statutory and regulatory compliance aligned with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including Labour laws, EHS (Environment, Health & Safety), Finance and Taxation, and Corporate Secretarial requirements.
- Monitor and track upcoming regulatory updates and legislative changes within the Indian & Global regulatory environment and assess their impact on business operations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address compliance risks and ensure timely implementation of legal requirements.
- Build familiarity with and contribute to internal engagement adherence and clearance processes for compliance engagements, as required.
- Support team administration, mentoring, and knowledge sharing, and contribute to maintaining a cohesive and positive team environment.
Key skills required:
- Education: Any graduation degree + CS, LLB or LLM or other equivalent certification relevant to Compliance
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and statutory compliance requirements.
- Ability to interpret legislation and translate legal provisions into operational guidance.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong legal analytical skills with the ability to interpret, review, and vet contracts, agreements, and legal documents, assess associated risks and obligations
- Ability to track and analyze regulatory developments and provide timely updates
