Seeking a highly motivated SAP FICO Consultant with strong experience in SAP implementation projects and deep functional expertise across core Finance and Controlling processes. The candidate will play a key role in solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and business adoption of SAP Finance solutions.

The ideal candidate should possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling effective collaboration with business users, finance teams, project managers, and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, configuration, and governance of General Ledger ledger architecture and Universal Allocation cycles (Cost Center & Profit Center) within SAP S/4HANA Finance, ensuring accurate multi-ledger cost flows and period-end allocation integrity across the Universal Journal.

Key Responsibilities

GL Ledger Configuration

• Define and govern the ledger architecture including leading ledger (0L), non-leading standard ledgers, and extension ledgers for parallel accounting (IFRS, local GAAP, HGB) [1]
• Advise on Ledger Solution vs. Accounts Solution for parallel accounting, with a recommendation toward multi-valuation ledger setup in S/4HANA on-premise [2]
• Manage extension ledger configuration for management views (delta postings on top of legal data, zero reconciliation) and predictive accounting use cases [1]
• Ensure all sub-ledger integrations (FI-AA, FI-AR, FI-AP, MM, HR) post correctly to the Universal Journal across all configured ledgers [2]

CC Allocation Cycle Ownership

• Design and maintain Cost Center allocation cycles (Distribution, Overhead Allocation, Intercompany Allocation) using the Manage Allocations Fiori app (F3338A) [3]
• Enable and govern the Flexible Ledger flag on cycle headers to allow a single cycle to be executed against any parallel ledger, reducing maintenance overhead [4]
• Note: once a cycle is executed as a flexible ledger cycle, the flexible ledger flag cannot be deselected — incorrect setup requires cycle recreation
• Execute allocation runs via the Run Allocations app (F3548) and validate results using Allocation Results (F4363) and Allocation Flow (F4022) apps [5] [2]
• Support Excel-based upload of allocation cycle headers and segments for efficient mass maintenance [4]
• Add and maintain cycle/segment notes for change documentation and audit traceability

PC Allocation Rule Design

• Own Profit Center allocation cycle design within Universal Allocation, covering Distribution and Overhead Allocation types across profit center hierarchies [2] [3]
• Ensure allocation cycles in the Profit Center context comply with account type restrictions applicable to that allocation context
• Validate that Profit Center allocation results are correctly reflected in the Universal Journal (ACDOCA) and reconcile with GL balances [2]
• Coordinate with the CO lead on profit center hierarchy design and controlling area settings

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• SAP FICO certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting and controlling principles.
