Job Description – Education Consultant

The Education Consultant will support the Commissionerate of Technical Education (CTE) in the monitoring and implementation of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the State’s NEP Implementation Roadmap. The role will involve providing technical and handholding support to Technical and Professional Institutes, coordinating with educational stakeholders and government authorities, and supporting the development and implementation of NEP-aligned initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

·      Support NEP 2020 implementation through institutional handholding, readiness assessments, capacity building and stakeholder consultations across Technical and Professional Institutes.

·      Develop frameworks, guidelines, implementation plans and models aligned with NEP 2020, AICTE, UGC and other applicable regulatory guidelines.

·      Support data collection, baseline assessment, data analysis, MIS development and monitoring of NEP implementation across Technical and Professional Institutes.

·      Assist in initiatives related to multidisciplinary education, flexible curriculum, vocational and skill-based education, faculty and leadership development, institutional governance, research and internationalization.

·      Coordinate with Technical and Professional Institutes, government departments, technical partners and other stakeholders for effective implementation and achievement of programme outcomes.

·      Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, project documents, guidelines and other communication materials, including bilingual documents in English and Gujarati as required.

·      Support partnership management, documentation and coordination with technical/strategic partners engaged by CTE.

·      Maintain electronic project documentation and ensure systematic management of project records.

·      Undertake any other activities required for effective implementation and monitoring of NEP 2020 across Technical and Professional Institutes in Gujarat.
