Sports Event Expert (WPFG SPMU)
Role Summary
Support Deloitte's advisory services to the WPFG Strategic Programme Management Unit (SPMU) by providing subject matter expertise in sports event planning, coordination, and delivery. The role will assist in ensuring effective management and execution of the World Police and Fire Games (WPFG) in coordination with client stakeholders and sports authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical input for the planning and delivery of WPFG sporting events and related operations.
- Support coordination with sports federations, government stakeholders, venue operators, and organizing committees.
- Advise on competition management, event operations, scheduling, and readiness planning.
- Support the development of event delivery plans, operational frameworks, and implementation schedules.
- Monitor event preparation activities and identify risks and mitigation measures.
- Assist with stakeholder engagement, reporting, and governance activities.
Qualifications
- Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in sports event management.
Required Experience
- Experience working with Central and/or State Sports Departments on multi-sport national and/or international sporting events.
- Experience supporting the planning, coordination, or delivery of large-scale sporting events.
