Required Skills & Experience

  • Around ~8 years of experience in SAP FICO with strong exposure to AMS support environments in team lead capacity.
  • Hands-on experience with Fixed Assets, Budgeting, GL, AP, AR, Bank Accounting, and Controlling processes.
  • Strong understanding of Indian statutory requirements and compliance.
  • Proven experience in managing or leading SAP AMS teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.


Functional Expertise – SAP FICO

  • Independently manage Fixed Assets Accounting, including asset lifecycle management, depreciation runs, and reporting.
  • Configure and manage Budgeting, including supplements, releases, monitoring, and availability control.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide expert guidance on Indian taxation processes: GST, TDS, withholding tax, ISD, and statutory reporting.
  • Monitor system jobs, interfces, and integrations, ensuring timely resolution of incidents.


AMS Operations & Governance

  • Lead the SAP FICO AMS team (approx. 10 team members) with responsibility for daily operations and service delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to SLA, TAT, and KPI metrics and drive continuous service improvement.
  • Oversee resource allocation, workload distribution, and performance monitoring.
  • Act as the primary SAP FICO point-of-contact for business users and client stakeholders.


Project & Delivery Support

  • Participate in requirement gathering, solution design, feasibility checks, and impact analysis.
  • Review functional specifications, testing scenarios, and transport movement requests.
  • Support UAT, regression testing, cutover planning, and production deployment activities.
  • Ensure documentation, internal controls, and audit standards are complied with.


Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate closely with internal and client leadership, providing regular status updates and insights.
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis to identify root causes and drive issue resolution.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and automation within the FICO landscape.
  • Mentor junior consultants and facilitate knowledge transfer and cross-training across the team.


Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP FICO certification (optional but preferred).
  • Experience in multi-module integration (MM, SD, PP).
  • Exposure to automation and reporting tools (e.g., SAP Fiori, SAP Analytics, etc.).
