Job Summary

The OMS Analyst is responsible for supporting, analyzing, configuring, and optimizing Order Management System (OMS) processes across the order lifecycle. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, supply chain teams, customer service, IT teams, and vendors to ensure seamless order processing, fulfilment, inventory visibility, and system performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into OMS functional specifications.
  • Support end-to-end order lifecycle processes including order capture, validation, allocation, fulfillment, shipping, invoicing, and returns.
  • Configure and maintain OMS workflows, business rules, and integrations.
  • Monitor OMS transactions and troubleshoot order processing issues.
  • Collaborate with business users, warehouse, logistics, customer service, and IT teams to resolve operational challenges.
  • Perform root cause analysis and recommend process improvements.
  • Support system testing activities including SIT, UAT, and regression testing.
  • Create functional documentation, process flows, user guides, and SOPs.
  • Work with integration teams on OMS interfaces involving ERP, WMS, CRM, eCommerce, and payment systems.
  • Analyze KPIs and operational metrics to improve order fulfillment efficiency.
  • Participate in production support, incident management, and change management activities.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with organizational standards.

Required Skills

Functional Skills

  • Strong understanding of Order Management processes.
  • Knowledge of Order-to-Cash (O2C) lifecycle.
  • Understanding of inventory management, fulfillment, shipping, and returns.
  • Experience with OMS platforms such as:
  • IBM Sterling OMS
  • Manhattan OMS
  • Oracle OMS
  • SAP Order Management
  • Fluent Commerce
  • Salesforce OMS

Technical Skills

  • SQL and data analysis.
  • API and integration concepts (REST/SOAP).
  • Basic understanding of ERP, WMS, CRM, and eCommerce systems.
  • Experience with incident tracking and ticketing tools.
  • Reporting and dashboard creation using Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in OMS support, business analysis, or order management operations.
  • Experience in retail, eCommerce, manufacturing, or supply chain environments preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience in system implementation or enhancement projects.
  • Exposure to cloud-based OMS solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
