India Technology & Transformation – ET&P – Supply Chain Network Operations (SCNO) Role: Analyst Location: Pan India (travel 60–80%) Practice: Digital Manufacturing Systems – Operational Excellence / Smart Manufacturing / Industry 4.0 The Team Deloitte’s SCNO service line help clients to design strategy-to-execution supply chains and smart factories that ship real value, driving operational excellence - cost, quality, throughput, reliability, and sustainability - through Lean methods and analytics. We implement and scale Industry 4.0 (MES, IIoT, APS, digital twins) with leading ecosystem partners, then hard-wire the change with governance, playbooks, and capability building, resulting result is multi-site rollouts that stick and deliver measurable P&L impact. Work you’ll do • Run plant/value-stream diagnostics: map processes, baseline KPIs (OEE, FPY, throughput, cost/unit), identify bottlenecks and value levers. • Design and deliver cost-out/operations excellence initiatives: Lean/TPM, yield & scrap reduction, energy/utilities optimization, labor productivity, SMED, 5S, RCA. • Support Industry 4.0 strategy: maturity assessments, use-case backlog, vendor evaluations, pilots (MES/SCADA/historian, IIoT/edge, analytics for quality/maintenance) and scale-up. • Build business cases and benefits models: Stand up KPI dashboards and benefit-tracking with Finance sign-off. • Drive client workshops/kaizens: PMO cadence, risk/issue logs, and stakeholder management. • Develop high-quality client deliverables: (storylines, models, playbooks, SOPs) and contribute to proposals/POVs. What you’ll bring (essentials) • Education: B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical/Chemical or similar); MBA/PGDM preferred • Experience: 0-2 years total with ≥2 years in consulting (or transformation roles) and/or hands-on manufacturing/operations experience. • Impact: At least 1–2 projects showing measurable results (e.g., 3–5% cost reduction, +3–8 pts OEE, scrap/energy reduction, WC release). • Methods: Solid Lean toolkit, VSM, problem-solving (A3/8D), basic Six Sigma (Green Belt or equivalent). • Digital/Industry 4.0: Working knowledge of MES/SCADA/data historians, IIoT/edge, BI/analytics; familiarity with SAP S/4HANA (PP/QM/PM) a plus. • Tools: Advanced Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint; basics of SQL/Power BI/Tableau helpful. • Consulting toolkit: Hypothesis-led analysis, executive communication, structured thinking, comfort on the shop floor and in the boardroom. • Nice to have: o Certifications: CPIM/CSCP (ASCM), CMRP (SMRP). o Sector depth in Auto/Auto-components, Chemicals/Pharma, Metals/Mining, FMCG. o Experience with change management and frontline capability building. Requisite core skills • Domain depth: Demonstrated impact in manufacturing/ops/technology (OPEX, cost reduction, Smart Manufacturing/Industry 4.0). • Engagement ownership: Manage substantial parts of end-to-end client programs; own workstream outcomes and benefit tracking. • Team leadership: Plan and supervise 2–6 team members; set quality bars; coach Consultants/Analysts. • Project management: Scope & plan, critical path, risks/issues/change control; drive governance with clear actions/owners/dates. • Advanced problem solving: Structure ambiguity; build robust financial models (driver trees, scenario/sensitivity); convert data to executive narratives. • Consulting toolkit (advanced): Design research, executive storylines, high-impact decks; Excel (Solver/What-If), basics of SQL/BI (Power BI/Tableau) a plus. • Stakeholder & senior comms: Confident with senior client leadership; influence, negotiate trade-offs, and escalate judiciously. • Business development: Shape proposals/SOWs/estimates, write POVs, identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities; contribute distinctive IP/frameworks. • Innovation & IP: Build playbooks, templates, and accelerators that scale across engagements. • Ethics & confidentiality: Role-model integrity; trusted with the highest level of confidential information. • Operating tempo: Consistently delivers high-impact initiatives on time/quality; balances multiple priorities with excellent responsiveness and detail orientation.
