Your work profile

·      Support the design, development, and optimization of ServiceNow ITOM Discovery and CMDB solutions across enterprise environments.

·      Configure and maintain Horizontal Discovery, Cloud Discovery, and MID Servers to ensure accurate infrastructure visibility and CI population.

·      Assist in developing and enhancing discovery patterns, probes, and sensors for servers, network devices, cloud resources, databases, and applications.

·      Analyze and troubleshoot discovery issues such as stale CIs, credential failures, port access issues, and never-scanned devices with guidance from senior team members.

·      Support CMDB data quality initiatives by working on IRE rules, reconciliation logic, CI relationships, and CMDB health best practices.

·      Collaborate with infrastructure, network, cloud, and application teams to gather discovery requirements and support CI mapping activities.

·      Assist in Service Mapping and dependency mapping activities to improve business service visibility.

·      Support integrations with external monitoring and infrastructure tools using REST APIs, web services, and Service Graph Connectors.

·      Participate in testing, validation, and documentation of ITOM Discovery and CMDB implementations.

·      Work closely with senior developers and architects to support ITOM enhancements, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key skills required

·      2-3 years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer with exposure to ITOM Discovery, CMDB, and Service Mapping.

·      Good understanding of ServiceNow Discovery, MID Server configuration, discovery patterns, probes, and sensors.

·      Experience in troubleshooting discovery failures, including SNMP, SSH, WMI, PowerShell, and credential-related issues.

·      Basic to intermediate knowledge of infrastructure technologies including:

o  Windows & Linux Servers

o  Network devices

o  Databases

o  Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure)

o  DNS, TCP/IP, SNMP, SSH, and WMI

·      Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide scripting, Flow Designer, and ServiceNow integrations.

·      Experience working in Agile delivery environments using tools such as Jira and Confluence.

·      Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with effective communication abilities.

·      Good understanding of ITIL, CSDM, and CMDB governance best practices.

·      Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and support ongoing ITOM initiatives.

·      Preferred certifications:

o  CSA

o  CIS – Discovery
