Analyst – SRE DevOps Engineer

 

Role Overview

As an Analyst – SRE DevOps Engineer, you will support cloud infrastructure, application deployments, and reliability engineering initiatives while building strong foundational skills in DevOps and SRE practices.

You will work closely with senior team members to deliver high-quality work, ensure system stability, and contribute to automation and monitoring efforts.

Work You’ll Do

  • Assist in implementing DevOps and SRE best practices across projects
  • Support CI/CD pipeline execution and basic enhancements
  • Participate in application deployments across environments (Dev, Test, Prod)
  • Assist in monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving basic issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Dev, QA, Infra)
  • Learn automation and cloud deployment practices
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups and sprint reviews
  • Document processes and support knowledge-sharing initiatives

The team enables efficient delivery and operations of enterprise applications through automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

SRE & Reliability Engineering

  • Monitor application availability and basic performance metrics
  • Support implementation of:
  • SLIs (Service Level Indicators) – basic awareness
  • Assist in incident resolution and troubleshooting
  • Support efforts to improve system uptime and reliability

CI/CD & DevOps

  • Assist in CI/CD pipeline execution using:
  • Azure DevOps / Jenkins / GitHub Actions
  • Support build and deployment processes
  • Learn and contribute to automation efforts

Cloud & Infrastructure

  • Assist in managing cloud resources in:
  • Azure / AWS environments
  • Basic understanding of:
  • Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking
  • Support environment setup under guidance

Containers & Kubernetes (Exposure)

  • Basic knowledge of:
  • Docker containers
  • Kubernetes concepts (AKS/EKS exposure preferred)
  • Assist in container-based deployments

Monitoring & Observability

  • Use basic monitoring tools such as:
  • Azure Monitor / CloudWatch
  • Support log analysis and alert handling
  • Assist in identifying issues using metrics and logs

Security & Compliance

  • Follow basic cloud security practices
  • Support tasks related to:
  • IAM / RBAC
  • Assist in access management and compliance checks

Performance & Optimization

  • Assist in identifying basic performance and resource utilization issues
  • Support implementation of auto-scaling and optimization (with guidance)

Required Skills & Experience

  • 0–2 years of experience in DevOps / Cloud / IT (including internships)
  • Basic knowledge of:
  • Cloud platforms (Azure preferred / AWS exposure)
  • DevOps concepts (CI/CD pipelines)
  • Familiarity with:
  • Git version control
  • Basic scripting knowledge:
  • PowerShell / Bash / Python
  • Understanding of:
  • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to:
  • Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions
  • Basic understanding of:
  • Docker containers
  • Awareness of:
  • Kubernetes concepts
  • Certification (good to have):
  • AZ‑900 (Azure Fundamentals)
