8. Java Architect with AI — POD Tech Lead

Role Summary

 looking for a Java Architect with AI experience to serve as a POD Tech Lead at Edward Jones, combining enterprise architecture skills with team leadership. The candidate will bring deep Java engineering expertise, AI integration knowledge, and the ability to build strong relationships with product, technical, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•   Lead and guide the technical direction of the POD — architecture, code quality, and engineering standards

•   Review code delivered by the team, support troubleshooting, and own code quality outcomes

•   Design and implement solutions across microservices, REST APIs (Spring Boot / Java), React, and Azure cloud

•   Collaborating with Technical Architects on implementation and design decisions

•   Mentor and develop team members, providing technical SME support

•   Lead PI planning, sprint planning, and technical backlog grooming

•   Build strong relationships with technical, product, and business stakeholders

•   Manage risks, issues, and technical dependencies across the delivery team

•   Support Agile Transformation planning and execution

Skills & Experience Required

•   8+ years of hands-on engineering and technical leadership experience

•   5+ years leading enterprise-scale projects of high complexity

•   3+ years leading teams through code reviews, technical mentorship, and quality ownership

•   Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, React, and Azure cloud

•   Broad understanding of SDLC, DevOps, SRE, and Quality Engineering

•   Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

•   Experience working in Agile delivery environments

•   Bachelor's degree preferred
