Job Description/Key Responsibilities

As a PMO in Project Controlling, you will support the Finance Leadership. Your role will focus on driving execution discipline, governance, and cross-functional alignment across finance transformation and operational initiatives.  A key part of your role will be to craft compelling narratives and create impactful presentations that communicate project progress, insights, and outcomes to senior stakeholders.

Reporting to: Partner, Business Finance & Controlling

Individual Contributor role

 

Project Governance & Execution

· Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and milestone trackers across multiple finance workstreams.

· Monitor project progress, identify risks, and escalate issues with mitigation strategies.

· Facilitate regular project reviews, status updates, and leadership reporting.

Cross-Functional Coordination

· Act as the central coordination point between Project Controlling, FP&A, Pricing, and Project Accounting teams.

· Ensure alignment of deliverables, dependencies, and priorities across functions and geographies.

· Support integration of finance processes with business operations and technology platforms.

Storytelling & Executive Communication

· Translate complex project data into clear, compelling narratives for leadership and stakeholders.

· Create high-impact presentations (PPTs) that communicate project status, risks, and strategic insights.

· Support leadership in preparing materials for governance forums, business reviews, and transformation updates.

Reporting & Analytics

· Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track project KPIs, financial metrics, and resource utilization.

· Consolidate data and insights for leadership presentations and decision-making.

Process & Documentation Management

· Maintain comprehensive project documentation including charters, business cases, SOPs, and change logs.

· Drive standardization and continuous improvement in PMO practices and templates.

Tool & System Enablement

· Support the use of project management tools (e.g., MS Project) and finance systems (e.g., SAP, Anaplan) and visualization tools (e.g. Visio).

· Collaborate with technology teams to ensure tools are aligned with project and business needs.

 

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business, or related field; PMP certification preferred.

• 7-10 years of experience in a PMO or project coordination role within a professional services or consulting environment.

• Strong understanding of finance functions such as FP&A, project accounting, and pricing.

• Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office Suite; advanced PowerPoint skills are essential, experience with SAP, Anaplan, or Power BI is a plus.

• Excellent storytelling, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
