Your work profile

Intermediate Developer:

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES (DUTIES):

• Programming and Testing staff performing design, code and all test functions (other than UAT).
• Help Desk Level 2 and 3, including resolution of application problem tickets.
• Monitoring of applications.

CORE CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ADDITIONAL BEHAVIOURS):

• Authors and maintains application programs. Completes appropriate program and source code documentation. Participates in design and code reviews. Provides 3rd level technical support as needed.
• Performs unit, string, system, volume and regression testing activities per documented test strategies and plans.

Key Skills

• Education - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, or related fieldand 3-4 years applicable work experience (excludes college time)
• At least five years of relevant work experience working on cross region large programs with workflow and case management related transformation programs
• Domain expertise in the commercial insurance space required
• International experience with onsite at locations like the US/UK preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work as lead effectively in team-based environments.
• Excellent quantitative, analytical, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to apply logical assumptions
• Independently manage, plan, and organize workload within established deadlines in a team oriented, high-volume, high stress environment
• Ability to handle both detailed and ambiguous/incomplete information with a high degree of accuracy and independence
• Familiarity with modern application architecture concepts such as cloud models vs on prem deployments, UI toolkits and frameworks (HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript)
• Familiarity with Web Services (SOAP, WSDL, UDDI), application Servers (e.g., WebSphere Application Server, JBoss, IIS)
• Familiarity with concepts of MVC, MVVM, and RESTful APIs, continuous integration
• Familiarity with Enterprise Content Management applications (IBM, Alfresco, Documentum)
