Associate Director – Enterprise Performance Management (EPM)
Role Summary
The Associate Director – EPM will lead the design, implementation, and delivery of enterprise planning and performance management solutions across finance, supply chain, and operations. The role requires strong expertise in EPM platforms (such as Anaplan, Oracle EPM, SAP BPC, or OneStream), combined with leadership in client engagements, solution architecture, and business development.
The individual will be responsible for managing large transformation programs, leading multi-disciplinary teams, and partnering with senior stakeholders to drive connected planning and performance management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Engagement & Advisory
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on finance transformation and enterprise planning initiatives
- Lead discovery sessions with senior stakeholders to define EPM strategy and roadmap
- Translate business requirements into scalable EPM solution architectures
- Drive executive-level discussions and presentations
2. Solution Delivery
- Lead end-to-end delivery of EPM implementations
- Oversee design, build, testing, and deployment of planning solutions
- Ensure solutions follow best practices, scalability, and performance standards
- Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, and quality assurance
- Govern large programs involving multiple geographies and teams
3. Platform Expertise
Provide leadership across EPM technologies such as:
- Anaplan
- Oracle EPM / Hyperion
- SAP BPC / SAC
- OneStream
Typical solution areas include:
- FP&A planning
- Financial consolidation
- Workforce planning
- Sales and revenue planning
- Supply chain planning
- Connected enterprise planning
4. Leadership & Team Development
- Manage and mentor teams of consultants, managers, and architects
- Drive capability development within the EPM practice
- Establish delivery standards and governance frameworks
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture
5. Business Development
- Support proposal development and RFP responses
- Identify opportunities to expand client engagements
- Build long-term client relationships
- Contribute to thought leadership and market positioning
Required Experience
- 12–16 years of experience in finance transformation or EPM implementations
- Strong experience with at least one leading EPM platform
- Proven experience managing large enterprise implementations
- Experience leading teams of 10–30 consultants
- Strong understanding of FP&A processes and financial planning models
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA / CA / CFA / equivalent professional qualification
- Platform certifications (e.g., Anaplan Solution Architect, Oracle EPM)
- Experience delivering global transformation programs
- Exposure to Agile and program governance frameworks
