What will your typical day look like?

  • Research and benchmark potential solutions to identify the optimal approach.
  • Design and develop complex, user-friendly models and tools, both independently and collaboratively.
  • Work closely with the team to overcome challenges and consistently deliver high-quality work to our clients.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, including planning, communication, and reporting to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Utilise data skills to extract, cleanse and manage relevant data from raw datasets.

About the Team

The Corporate Treasury team, part of Deloitte's tackles complex challenges for businesses and financial institutions. We bridge the gap between finance, risk, mathematics, and algorithms, translating these disciplines to provide impactful solutions. Every day offers new opportunities, from working with financial instruments and risk management to designing bespoke tools for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Master’s degree in finance, CA, MBA, or other relevant qualification (FRM/ MBA / CFA)
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant work experience in Treasury Operations and financial risk management
  • The ideal candidate will contribute to the strategic planning and execution of treasury initiatives across cash and liquidity management, FX and interest rate risk mitigation and working capital optimization.
  • Thorough understanding and experience in Investment management, Bank account management, Investment, and capital allocation.
  • Should have the knowledge and experience in risk management, risk mitigation strategy through hedges,
  • strong business diagnostic skills and the ability to apply a logical and analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and execute assignments within deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills backed by an enthusiastic approach and a diligent client focus.
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS/IND AS hedge accounting, treasury controls, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Python, and TMS platforms such as Kyriba, Quantum, SAP, or Reval will be beneficial.
  • Big 4 consulting or global MNC experience, Familiarity with treasury-related regulatory frameworks (e.g., FEMA).

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk concepts, credit risk modeling techniques, and financial regulations.
  • Experience in model validation, model risk management, or credit risk analytics within banking or consulting environments.
  • Familiarity with statistical tools and programming languages such as SAS, R, Python, or MATLAB is a plus.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks like Basel accords, IFRS 9, CCAR, or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented consulting environment.
  • Prior experience with credit risk models such as Probability of Default (PD), Loss Given Default (LGD), Exposure at Default (EAD), or IFRS 9 models is highly desirable.
