Job Summary:

Deloitte is seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead Generative AI and advanced data science initiatives within the Technology & Transformation practice. The candidate will drive innovation in AI/ML and GenAI applications across industries, manage teams, and deliver scalable AI solutions using foundation models and large language models (LLMs).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design, development, and deployment of GenAI-powered enterprise applications leveraging LLMs (e.g., GPT-4, Claude, Gemini).
• Oversee prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and embedding-based search solutions.
• Manage projects spanning summarization, content generation, chatbots, copilots, document understanding, and personalization use cases.
• Integrate GenAI solutions with enterprise systems and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Utilize AI/ML platforms and tools including LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face Transformers, Pinecone, FAISS, and Weaviate.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to define problem statements and GenAI architectures.
• Ensure responsible AI practices—governance, bias mitigation, explainability, and traceability—are embedded in solutions.
• Lead technical discussions with clients and mentor junior team members.
• Contribute to development of GenAI accelerators, assets, and intellectual property within Deloitte’s AI practice.
• Support pre-sales, solutioning, and proposal development related to GenAI offerings.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or related fields.

Experience:

• 12+ years in AI/ML, data science, or related roles, with 3+ years hands-on experience in Generative AI, LLMs, or NLP solutions.
• Proven experience managing teams and delivering AI-driven enterprise solutions.
• Strong expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, deep learning, and analytical models (e.g., marketing mix models, segmentation, demand forecasting).
• Experience deploying AI/ML and GenAI solutions on cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Skills:

• Deep knowledge of transformer models, embeddings, fine-tuning, and prompt engineering.
• Expertise in architecting scalable GenAI pipelines and integrating them with enterprise systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in AI/ML or cloud platforms (Azure AI Engineer, AWS ML Specialty).
• Familiarity with LLMOps tools for model tracking, evaluation, and monitoring.
• Experience working in regulated industries such as BFSI, healthcare, or legal.
• Prior consulting experience with client-facing roles.
