Your work profile

• 12-18+ years of SAP experience with at least 8-10 years in SAP CO and leadership roles.
• SAP CO will lead SAP Controlling solution delivery, transformation programs, and support engagements across global clients/business units.
• Should have deep expertise in SAP CO processes, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to lead large teams while driving strategic initiatives, solution architecture, and operational excellence.
• The incumbent will collaborate with Finance, Business, IT, and SAP cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize SAP Controlling solutions that align with organizational objectives and financial governance standards.

Strategic Leadership

• Define SAP CO roadmap and transformation strategy aligned with business goals.
• Drive SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling transformation initiatives.
• Provide thought leadership on best practices, innovations, and process improvements.
• Partner with senior business stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and optimization.

Solution Design & Delivery

• Lead end-to-end SAP CO implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and support projects.
• Design scalable solutions across: Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Internal Orders (IO), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Product Costing (PC), Cost Object Controlling, COPA (Costing-Based and Account-Based), Material Ledger, Universal Journal and S/4HANA Finance
• Ensure integration with SAP FI, MM, SD, PP, PS, and BW/Analytics.
• Review solution architecture and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.

Program & Project Management

• Manage large-scale global SAP delivery programs.
• Oversee project planning, budgeting, risk management, and governance.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Drive quality assurance and adherence to implementation methodologies.

Stakeholder Management

• Engage with CFO organizations, Finance Directors, and business leaders.
• Translate business requirements into technology solutions.
• Conduct executive-level presentations and steering committee reviews.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor SAP CO consultants, managers, and solution architects.
• Manage resource planning, capability development, and succession planning.
• Drive high-performance culture and employee engagement.
• Support recruitment and talent development initiatives.

Operational Excellence

• Establish governance frameworks and support models.
• Monitor SLA, KPI, and service delivery performance.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices.
• Ensure compliance with audit, security, and regulatory requirements.

Key skills required

• 12-18+ years of SAP experience with at least 8-10 years in SAP CO and leadership roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise in SAP CO modules: Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis (COPA), Profit Center Accounting, Material Ledger, Cost Object Controlling
• Deep understanding of Finance and Management Accounting processes.
• SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling experience.

Technical Knowledge

• Knowledge of SAP Fiori applications.
• Integration with SAP FI, MM, SD, PP, PS.
• Understanding of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), BW/4HANA, and reporting solutions.
• Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA Finance, CA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent.
• SAP Certification in SAP CO and/or SAP S/4HANA Finance.

• Exposure to RISE with SAP and cloud-based SAP landscapes.
