Role Overview
The SAP ABAP & HR-ABAP Consultant will design, develop and support custom SAP solutions across core modules and HCM landscapes. The role includes delivering robust RICEF objects, supporting HR payroll/time integrations, enhancing existing applications, and contributing to end-to-end implementation projects within S/4HANA and ECC environments.
Key Responsibilities
Core ABAP Development
- Develop RICEF objects including Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, Conversions, Forms & Workflows.
- Build custom objects using ABAP OO, CDS Views, BAdIs, User Exits, BDC, ALE & IDocs.
- Deliver performance-optimized code aligned with SAP best practices & quality frameworks.
- Debug production issues, provide enhancements, transport management, and code optimization.
HR-ABAP Development
- Work on HR data models including PA/OM/Time/Payroll infotypes and logical databases (PNPCE).
- Develop Payroll Schemas, PCR enhancements & post-payroll custom functionality.
- Build integrations for benefits, time evaluation, payroll posting & third-party HR systems.
- Develop HR Forms (HCM P&F), Remuneration Statements, Payslips & HR-specific Adobe/SmartForms.
Integration & Solution Enablement
- Integrate HR systems with CPI/SF, S/4HANA, Fiori, ESS/MSS & external applications.
- Work with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specification.
- Support enhancements & migration activities during HCM → SuccessFactors transitions.
- Validate role-based authorizations & data sensitivity rules for secure HR data handling.
Project Delivery & Collaboration
- Participate in design workshops, create technical documentation (TS, FS, mapping).
- Execute unit testing, SIT/UAT support, defect resolution & cutover go-live activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HCM, Payroll, Security, Basis, Integration).
- Mentor junior developers, support code reviews, maintain development standards.
