Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Order Management System (OMS) Consultant to lead the design, implementation, integration, and optimization of enterprise order management solutions. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, supply chain teams, e-commerce teams, and technical teams to streamline order lifecycle processes, improve customer experience, and ensure seamless order fulfillment across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze current order management processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Gather and document business requirements related to order capture, fulfillment, inventory visibility, shipping, returns, and customer service.
  • Design OMS solutions aligned with business objectives and operational requirements.
  • Configure and implement OMS platforms such as:
  • IBM Sterling OMS
  • Manhattan Active Omni
  • SAP Order Management
  • Oracle Order Management Cloud
  • Fluent Commerce
  • Collaborate with integration teams for ERP, WMS, CRM, POS, and e-commerce platform integrations.
  • Support solution architecture, workflow design, and order orchestration processes.
  • Conduct functional testing, UAT support, and production deployment activities.
  • Troubleshoot OMS issues and provide post-implementation support.
  • Create business process documentation, training materials, and user guides.
  • Ensure compliance with operational and data governance standards.

Functional Skills

  • Strong understanding of:
  • Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes
  • Distributed Order Management (DOM)
  • Inventory Management
  • Supply Chain Operations
  • Returns and Reverse Logistics
  • Omnichannel Fulfillment
  • Order Routing and Allocation

Technical Skills

  • OMS configuration and implementation experience.
  • API integrations (REST/SOAP).
  • XML, JSON, SQL.
  • Middleware platforms such as:
  • MuleSoft
  • Dell Boomi
  • IBM App Connect
  • Understanding of cloud platforms and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • OMS platform certifications (Sterling, Manhattan, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Experience in Retail, E-commerce, Manufacturing, or Logistics industries.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
