Role: Consultant / Senior Consultant – AWS DevOps

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled AWS DevOps professional to design, implement, and optimize cloud-native DevOps solutions. The role involves building scalable CI/CD pipelines, managing AWS infrastructure using IaC, and enabling enterprise-grade automation and reliability across cloud platforms.

Job Description (JD)

Work You’ll Do

• Deliver high-quality DevOps solutions within defined timelines
• Gather and analyze requirements aligned with business and technical needs
• Work across the full software development lifecycle (design, build, deploy, support)
• Collaborate with stakeholders across onsite and offshore teams
• Conduct peer reviews to ensure engineering quality and consistency
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, estimation)
• Drive process improvements, automation, and operational efficiency
• Share knowledge and contribute to documentation and team capability building

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD
• Provision AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Ansible
• Implement AWS Landing Zones and manage multi-account architectures
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and deployment processes
• Develop and maintain scripting solutions using Python, Shell, PowerShell, YAML, and JSON
• Deploy and manage microservices on AWS ECS and EKS, including Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests
• Work with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Step Functions, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch
• Implement observability solutions using CloudWatch, Datadog, Dynatrace, or Splunk
• Define and enforce Git branching strategies (Git Flow, trunk-based development)
• Ensure secure, scalable, and compliant cloud deployments
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new AWS services and DevOps tools

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• Master’s degree (MBA / M.Tech or equivalent) preferred
• AWS or DevOps certifications strongly preferred

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–6 years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS DevOps toolchain
• Experience in CI/CD pipeline design and implementation
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes (EKS)
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Shell, PowerShell)
• Understanding of AWS networking (VPC, Security Groups, IAM)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
• AWS Solutions Architect – Associate / Professional
• Exposure to security and compliance practices (IAM policies, encryption, audit logging)
• Experience with distributed microservices architectures
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability platforms
