Your Work Profile

The Software Developer - C++ (Linux Applications) will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting high-performance Linux-based applications for industrial automation, energy management, and grid control solutions. The role requires strong expertise in modern C++ development, Linux system programming, networking, software design patterns, and graphical application development.

The ideal candidate will bring strong engineering ownership, a passion for software craftsmanship, and hands-on experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve productivity, code quality, and development efficiency. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions across the entire software development lifecycle.

 

Key Skills Required

•3–6 years of software development experience (5+ years preferred for senior profiles).

•Strong expertise in C++ application development.

•Proven experience developing applications on Linux platforms.

•Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and software engineering principles.

•Experience implementing software design patterns including:

  • Singleton
  • Factory
  • Observer
  • Strategy
  • MVC/MVVM concepts

•Hands-on experience developing desktop applications, Linux-based platforms, or engineering software products.

•Experience building graphical editors, visualization applications, system dashboards, topology viewers, or monitoring interfaces.

•Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and system-level development.

•Experience with Linux debugging, troubleshooting, profiling, and performance optimization tools.

•Good understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.

•Experience with socket programming and network communication protocols.

 

Preferred Qualifications

•Education - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

•Strong skills in unit testing, code reviews, and software quality practices.

•Experience working with Agile development methodologies and collaborative engineering environments.

•Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

•Strong verbal and written communication skills.

AI-Assisted Development Skills

•Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot or similar AI-powered development assistants.

•Experience utilizing AI tools for:

  • Code generation
  • Refactoring
  • Automated test generation
  • Documentation assistance
  • Code quality improvements

 

Key Responsibilities

•Design, develop, and maintain scalable Linux-based applications using C++.

•Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into software solutions.

•Apply modern software architecture principles and design patterns to develop maintainable systems.

•Build and enhance graphical editors, visualization tools, monitoring dashboards, and configuration interfaces.

•Develop robust and efficient networking components using TCP/IP and socket-based communication.

•Design and implement automated unit tests to ensure software quality and reliability.

•Perform code reviews, design reviews, and technical documentation activities.

•Troubleshoot complex software defects and performance bottlenecks.

•Optimize applications for scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

•Utilize GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering efficiency.

•Support deployment, integration, and post-release maintenance activities.

•Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA Engineers, and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
