 Yugabyte DB Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Yugabyte DB Engineer to design, deploy, and manage distributed SQL database environments. The role involves ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance of mission-critical applications using YugabyteDB.

Key Skills required

• Deploy, configure, and manage YugabyteDB clusters in cloud/on-prem environments
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize queries
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery
• Work closely with application teams for database design and integration
• Automate routine DBA tasks using scripting/tools
• Handle upgrades, patching, and capacity planning
• Implement security, backup, and data governance practices
• 3-5 years of experience in database engineering/administration

• Hands-on experience with YugabyteDB / distributed SQL databases
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL / Cassandra concepts
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Good understanding of HA/DR, replication, and sharding
• Scripting knowledge (Shell / Python)
• Familiarity with Kubernetes / containerized environments is a plus

Good to Have

• Experience in BFSI or large enterprise environments
• Exposure to DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines)
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Good communication with cross-functional teams
