Your work profile
We are looking for an OpenShift Engineer with 1–5 years of hands‑on experience in Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and containerized application platforms. The candidate will be responsible for platform operations, deployments, troubleshooting, and supporting development and DevOps teams with container orchestration needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and day‑to‑day operations of Red Hat OpenShift clusters.
- Manage Kubernetes objects (pods, deployments, services, configmaps, secrets, ingress/route).
- Support application teams in deploying workloads on OpenShift using CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform platform monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting of cluster issues.
- Manage and maintain OpenShift Operators, registries, and cluster resources.
- Troubleshoot container, pod, image, and cluster networking‑related issues.
- Work with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, ArgoCD, Tekton, etc.
- Assist with security and compliance: RBAC, secrets, resource quotas, namespaces.
- Perform upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management with senior engineers.
- Document processes, SOPs, runbooks, and deployment steps.
Key skills required:
- 1–5 years of experience working with OpenShift or Kubernetes.
- Hands‑on experience with:
- Kubernetes fundamentals
- OpenShift web console & CLI (oc)
- Docker/Podman containerization
- YAML for Kubernetes manifests
- Basic understanding of:
- Linux administration (RHEL preferred)
- Container networking and ingress/route concepts
- Persistent storage (PVCs, PVs, storage classes)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Tekton, ArgoCD).
- Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, EFK/ELK).
- Good troubleshooting skills and understanding of microservices architecture.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Shell scripting (Bash) or Python.
- Experience with automation tools like Ansible or Terraform.
- Red Hat certifications (EX280, DO280) are a plus.
