Role Summary

The Data Scientist – Senior Consultant will lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven solutions for Deloitte’s clients. This role requires strong technical expertise in ML, statistics, data engineering, cloud platforms, and stakeholder engagement. The candidate will work across industries to translate business problems into analytical models and deliver measurable outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Advanced Analytics & Model Development

  • Design and develop machine learning, statistical, and predictive models.
  • Work on supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning techniques (regression, classification, clustering, NLP, forecasting, etc.).
  • Build scalable ML pipelines and deploy models into production environments.
  • Perform feature engineering, data preprocessing, and model optimization.

🔹 Data Engineering & Cloud

  • Work with large datasets and ETL pipelines.
  • Build and optimize data workflows using:
  • Python, SQL, PySpark, Scala
  • Deploy solutions on cloud platforms:
  • AWS, Azure, GCP (preferred).
  • Work with cloud services such as Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse, EMR, or similar.

🔹 AI & Emerging Technologies

  • Build solutions using:
  • NLP, LLMs, Generative AI, embeddings
  • Computer Vision, OCR, sentiment analysis
  • Provide guidance on AI frameworks, MLOps, and model governance.

🔹 Business Problem Solving

  • Translate client requirements into analytical problem statements.
  • Identify relevant data, design analytical approaches, and present insights clearly.
  • Build business cases and measure ROI for data-driven solutions.

🔹 Stakeholder Management & Delivery

  • Lead client workshops, requirement discussions, and solution demos.
  • Provide thought leadership, best practices, and advisory inputs.
  • Manage project deliveries, timelines, and quality.
  • Mentor junior data scientists and analysts.

🔹 Reporting & Visualization

  • Build dashboards and insights using:
  • Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar BI tools.
  • Present findings to senior leadership and client teams.
