Job Description – UI5 / SAP Fiori Developer

Role Overview

UI5 / SAP Fiori Developer responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing SAP Fiori applications using SAPUI5, OpenUI5, and related SAP BTP technologies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Application Development

  • Develop custom SAP Fiori applications using SAPUI5/OpenUI5, JavaScript, XML views, controllers, and SAP Fiori elements.
  • Build applications following SAP UX guidelines, MVC architecture, and responsive UI best practices.
  • Extend and enhance standard Fiori applications (in-app and side-by-side extensibility).

2. Backend Integration

  • Integrate applications with SAP S/4HANA or ECC using OData services (SAP Gateway).
  • Work with Backend teams to define service models, annotations, CDS views, and metadata extensions.

3. Deployment & Lifecycle

  • Deploy and manage apps using SAP BTP, SAP Launchpad/Work Zone, and SAP Fiori Launchpad Designer.
  • Version control (Git).

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in SAPUI5 / OpenUI5, JavaScript HTML5, CSS3.
  • Experience with Fiori Elements, Smart Controls, custom controls, and UI5 libraries.
  • Hands-on with OData V2/V4, REST APIs, and asynchronous operations.
  • Experience in SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry), BAS (Business Application Studio), or WebIDE.
  • Knowledge of CDS Views, annotations, CAP (optional), and SAP Gateway concepts.

Good to Have Skills

  • SAP Certification in SAP Fiori/UI5 or SAP BTP (nice to have).
  • Experience with CAPM, Node.js, or full-stack development on SAP BTP.
  • Education- Any Graduate(Preferably Tier 1 college)
