Job Title:  Consultant | SAP PI / PO | Bengaluru | SAP

Role Overview

This role focuses on executing SAP PO/PI repointing activities for integration migrations. The consultant will be responsible for assessing existing interfaces, updating mapping logic, endpoint configuration, and validating connectivity post-migration. The primary scope is repointing SAP PO/PI integrations without full functional redesign, ensuring smooth transition to new target systems or infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Repointing & Interface Migration

• Perform end-to-end repointing of SAP PO/PI interfaces with minimal application redesign.
• Update receiver/sender communication channels, user credentials & endpoint URLs.
• Modify integration directory objects (ID) and ESR objects only where required.
• Conduct connectivity validation with middleware, backend systems and external partners.

Analysis & Technical Execution

• Analyse existing PO/PI interface landscapes for point-to-point mapping dependencies.
• Repoint SOAP/REST/File/IDoc/Proxy adapters as per migration requirements.
• Update mapping logic, certificates, authentication tokens & message protocols.
• Handle repository transports, directory transport management, version control.

Testing & Deployment

• Perform unit testing, regression testing & cutover execution for repointed interfaces.
• Troubleshoot message errors, channel failures & communication issues.
• Coordinate with BASIS, network security & functional teams during migration.
• Support go-live, hypercare & interface monitoring post cutover.
