Your work profile

As an Deputy Manager in our Regulatory and Financial Risk team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations. You’ll:

·      Gain a strong understanding of a variety of business processes and procedures

·      Perform industry and company research using various online platforms and publicly available information.

·      Develop expertise across various industries

·      Assist in evaluating fraud risk faced by clients in a particular industry and the impact of those risks on an organization

·      Apply research and analytical skills to various situations depending on the specific engagement. Examples include research of information on databases, review of financial statements and email and document reviews

·      Interact with clients and other external sources to obtain relevant information, and assist in detecting and preventing fraud in their business/organization

·      Read and analyze legal documents and communicate issues with team members in order to develop an understanding of the impact on financial analyses.

·      Cultivate an analytical mind set to identify gaps and trends in the data and documents reviewed

·      Perform financial and documentary analyses, both qualitative and quantitative, which will be delivered to clients and other parties.

·      Work efficiently and effectively in a complex team environment with strong attention to detail

·      Participate in team and client meetings and travel to client locations as required both within the country as well as overseas

·      Organize observations and findings in a structured manner in order to present them in client deliverables.

 

Key skills required: 

 

1. Regulatory Reporting & Compliance

  • Lead and support preparation, computation, and submission of regulatory returns to RBI, including:
  • DSB returns such as Report on Assets, Liabilities & Exposures (ALE) , Report on Asset Quality (RAQ) , Report on Operating Results (ROR) , Report on Capital Adequacy III (RCA III), Central Repository of Information on Large Credits (CRILC), etc
  • Liquidity, Credit, Operational, and other periodic/ad-hoc regulatory returns
  • Understanding of RBI regulations, master directions, and reporting timelines
  • Interpret regulatory circulars and assess impact on reporting frameworks

2. Regulatory Advisory & Transformation

  • Advise clients on strengthening regulatory reporting processes and governance frameworks
  • Conduct gap assessments against RBI requirements and industry practices
  • Support implementation of regulatory changes and reporting enhancements

3. Data, Systems, Controls and Automation

  • Understand and validate data extraction logic, ETL processes, and data lineage across systems
  • Design and implement data quality checks and control frameworks to ensure accuracy and completeness of regulatory submissions
  • Drive automation initiatives for regulatory reporting using tools and technology platforms
  • Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and functional specifications

4. Risk-Based Supervision (RBS)

  • Demonstrate understanding of RBS Tranche 1 data requirements and supervisory expectations
  • Conduct gap assessments against RBI requirements and industry practices

5. Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Risk, Finance, IT, Compliance, Operations) and external stakeholders including regulators
  • Manage multiple stakeholders and ensure timely delivery of regulatory reporting obligations
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior client management
  • Qualification: CA / FRM / MBA (Finance) from a recognized institute
  • Experience: 6+ years of relevant experience in:
  • Consulting in regulatory reporting role
  • Regulatory Reporting within a Bank or NBFC
  • Prior experience working on regulatory transformation or large-scale reporting projects
  • Exposure to regulatory audits or RBI inspections
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
