Job Title: Deputy Manager | Income Tax Laws | Bengaluru | Business Tax
About the Role
The Tax Manager will work closely with the US Tax team and other cross functional teams. The role will work closely with other SMEs (Subject Matter Expert) members, be responsible for the US Tax compliance and work on various assigned projects to aim at automating processes and creating best practices on an international level.
What You'll Do
• Prepare and Review forms relating to US Domestic, SALT and International tax compliance in Onesource Income Tax tool (including all required schedules and workpapers) and other associated tax return disclosures.
• Manage the internal teams and external advisors in the preparation of US Tax forms and the timely execution of the relevant tax filings, which includes Forms 1120, 5471, 8858 and SALT forms.
• Provide US tax guidance on tax technical issues and partner with various internal stakeholders, such as US Provision team, tax planning team and regional tax teams, to gather information and ensure accurate reporting.
• Strategize process improvements, automation and collaboration with teams to drive efficiency.
• Ability to review large workpapers, large volumes of data and Tax returns.
• Review Book to Tax Adjustments, Consolidated Tax Return, Preparation/review of RTP workpaper and Memo for documentation purposes.
• Review State Quarterly Estimate workpapers, Extension calculations and reviewEstimate and Extension forms.
• Assist with preparation/ review of Quarterly activities such as Federal and SALT Payable proof, Tax Forecast, Accruals.
• Review the disclosure and Forms required to be attached with the Tax returns.
• Review US CbCR report and workpaper.
• Assist with other compliance related tasks for US and Non-U.S. activities and calculations as required.
• Ability to perform Tax research on Tax laws and regulations.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Tax, Accounting or Finance.
• 7-8 years of US Domestic Tax, SALT and International experience required with experience in US International is an added advantage.
• Working knowledge of Onesource Income Tax software is a must (TAS and Organizer both)
• Enrolled Agent preferred.
• Previous Big 4 experience must and Industry experience preferred.
• Process oriented and an advocate of standardization of finance/compliance function.
• Work independently on complex tax concepts, calculations and large amounts of data.
What You'll Need
• Working knowledge of Onesource Income Tax software for Domestic and International workspace is a must.
• Thorough Knowledge of US Corporate Tax Federal and SALT is a must and experience in US International is added advantage
• Experience in working (preparation and review) on US Domestic Tax form 1120 and an added advantage of knowledge in US International Form 5471, Form 8858 all related forms.
• Knowledge and experience in researching various Tax issues.
