Job Title: Deputy Manager | Solution Architecture | Bengaluru | Engineering | Platform Development & Integratio
Role Purpose
Lead the Propel Automation Hub as both technical authority and client-facing partner. Translate the product blueprint into a context-fit deployment plan for each client, make crisp architectural trade-offs under time pressure, and stay accountable for delivery quality from kickoff through hyper-care.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end deployment architecture for each client engagement, balancing product fidelity with client-specific constraints.
- Serve as the primary technical interface with client architects, CTOs, and integration leads.
- Lead discovery workshops to scope customization effort and produce a defensible deployment plan within 1–2 weeks of engagement start.
- Make build-vs-buy-vs-configure decisions for every customization request; escalate when work exceeds POD scope.
- Mentor AH engineers; review designs, code, and integration patterns.
- Feed learnings, recurring customization patterns, and product gaps back to product engineering to improve the core accelerator.
- Co-own commercial outcomes with the engagement lead — utilization, margin, and CSAT.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of hands-on engineering followed by solution architecture experience in consulting, systems integration, or product delivery.
- Deployed enterprise products or platforms across at least three different client environments / cloud providers.
- Strong fundamentals in system design, distributed systems, API design, identity & access (SSO/OAuth/SAML), and data integration patterns.
- Hands-on credibility across at least two of: Java, Python, Node.js, .NET; comfort reading code in any modern language.
- Demonstrated client-facing maturity — able to run architecture workshops, present to C-suite, and negotiate scope.
- Track record of leading small, senior teams (3–6 people) under delivery pressure.
Nice-to-Have
- Exposure to multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) with at least one deep certification.
- Prior experience in product organization or a Deloitte-style accelerator-led delivery model.
- Familiarity with regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, public sector).
- Published thought leadership, conference talks, or open-source contributions.
Success in This Role Looks Like
- First deployment delivered within plan on time, scope, and margin.
- Two or more reusable deployment patterns codified back into the product within the first six months.
- Client architecture sponsors willing to act as references for future engagements.
- POD engineers report high quality of mentorship and technical clarity.
