Your work profile
• Define and maintain an Azure platform strategy and multi-year roadmap aligned to business priorities.
• Standardize Landing Zone and governance (management groups, Azure Policy, RBAC) across subscriptions and business units.
• Drive an Infrastructure-as-Code-first model (Terraform/Bicep/Ansible) with automated guardrails and reusable patterns.
• Establish and meet reliability and cost KPIs (availability, performance, FinOps savings).
• Mature observability (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights) with actionable SLOs and runbooks.
• Develop a strong talent pipeline and upskilling plan for architects, platform engineers, and SREs.
• Own Azure platform strategy, reference architectures, and multi-subscription governance; drive adoption of Landing Zones, management groups, Azure Policy, and Blueprints.
• Set and enforce platform standards for networking, identity, security, data protection, and connectivity patterns (hub-and-spoke, private endpoints, PaaS guardrails).
• Lead Infrastructure-as-Code adoption (Terraform, Bicep/ARM, Ansible) and scalable automation (pipelines, modules, reusable patterns).
• Establish golden images/patterns and enable product teams with self-service catalogs while ensuring compliance.
• Own SRE practices (SLIs/SLOs/error budgets), incident/problem/change governance, and resilience engineering.
• Define platform observability strategy and integrate third-party APM where helpful.
• Partner with Security/Risk to embed security-by-design across identity, encryption, key management, logging, and regulatory controls.
• Ensure continuous policy compliance and manage remediation programs for drift and vulnerabilities.
• Lead cloud financial management (FinOps): unit economics, chargeback/showback, reservations, rightsizing, and ROI tracking.
• Govern a portfolio of Azure programs; manage roadmaps, dependencies, risks/issues, and executive reporting.
• Engage senior business and product owners to shape demand and prioritize outcomes; act as escalation point for critical initiatives.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team of architects, platform engineers, and SREs; define competency maps and learning paths.
• Manage strategic vendors and evaluate new Azure services for secure, timely adoption.
Key skills required
• 12–15+ years of experience in infrastructure/cloud, with extensive Azure leadership across architecture, governance, and operations at scale.
• Proven delivery of Landing Zones, Infrastructure-as-Code at scale, and platform automation; strong networking, identity, and security depth.
• Executive stakeholder management with a track record of delivering business outcomes (cost, reliability, speed).
• Hands-on fluency with Terraform and Bicep/ARM; automation using PowerShell/Python; CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (and/or Azure Administrator, Security Engineer) preferred.
• Experience leading Agile/DevOps transformations and establishing platform product operating models.
• Strong communication and people leadership across multi-disciplinary, global teams.
• Exposure to defining and tracking KPIs such as Landing Zone compliance, SLO attainment, FinOps savings, MTTR, and IaC coverage preferred.
