The Digital Excellence Centre is responsible for building products and platforms for Deloitte India that focuses on providing extraordinary customer experience by putting design thinking with trailblazing technology in the center of what they do. The diverse team consists of subject matter experts, technology specialists, quality engineers, user experience researchers & designers, data scientists and product managers
Your work profile
As a Deputy Manager/Manager – Governance in our DEC Team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations: -
You will be responsible for driving organizational excellence through the development, implementation and monitoring of governance policies and processes.
This role focuses on ensuring adherence to organizational standards, while fostering continuous improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in collecting and publishing organization-level metrics, supporting internal audits and ensuring robust governance aligned with the product development lifecycle (PDLC).
Key Responsibilities
• Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Identify, develop and implement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and governance processes across the organization.
• Policy and Process Development: Create, document and maintain organization-level policies and processes to ensure consistency, compliance and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Metrics Management: Collect, analyse and publish organization-level metrics to provide insights into performance, compliance and areas for improvement.
• Compliance and Standards Adherence: Ensure adherence to TCF and TOM standards, maintaining a robust governance framework that aligns with organizational goals.
• Internal Audit Support: Assist in conducting internal audits, providing necessary documentation, insights and recommendations to ensure compliance and process integrity.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align governance practices with business objectives and product lifecycle requirements.
• Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify risks in governance processes and implement controls to mitigate them.
Required Skill Set
• Product Lifecycle Governance: Strong understanding of product development lifecycle (PDLC) governance principles and best practices.
• PDLC Knowledge: Familiarity with the basics of the Product Development Lifecycle, including stages, deliverables and governance checkpoints.
• Process Development and Optimization: Proven ability to document and implement policies and processes that drive organizational efficiency.
• Analytical Skills: Proficiency in collecting, analysing and interpreting data to produce meaningful metrics and reports.
• Compliance and Standards Expertise: Knowledge of PDLC governance frameworks with experience ensuring adherence to these standards.
• Audit Support: Experience assisting with internal audits and addressing findings.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with stakeholders and present governance-related insights.
• Problem-Solving: Strong ability to identify inefficiencies, propose solutions and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Desired qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Information Technology. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g.PMP) is a plus.
• [For Assistant Manager]: Up to 5 years of experience in governance, process improvement, or a related role.
• [For Manager]: 7+ years of experience in governance, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Demonstrated experience in product lifecycle governance and process development.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar) is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in a technology-driven organization with a focus on product development.
• Familiarity with industry-specific compliance requirements
• Prior experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
Location and way of working
Base location: Bangalore
This profile does not involve extensive travel for work.
