Job Summary:
The Senior Analyst - Master Data Management (MDM) is responsible for maintaining and governing master data within the organization, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems. The role involves managing data quality, analyzing data processes, supporting system improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline master data operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Master Data Maintenance:
- Create, update, and maintain master data records (e.g., vendor, customer, material, and financial data) in ERP and related systems.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company policies and standards.
- Perform periodic audits to identify and resolve discrepancies or inaccuracies.
- Data Quality and Governance:
- Monitor and enforce data governance policies, ensuring adherence to defined data standards.
- Develop and implement data validation processes to improve accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze data quality issues and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve root causes.
- Process Improvement and Optimization:
- Identify opportunities to streamline master data processes and workflows.
- Support automation initiatives to improve data efficiency, accuracy, and governance.
- Assist in system enhancements, including testing and implementation of upgrades.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate master data reports, metrics, and dashboards for Manager review.
- Analyze trends, identify anomalies, and provide actionable insights to drive data improvements.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, and IT, to support data-related needs.
- Serve as a key contact for master data issues and escalations, ensuring timely resolution.
- Train team members and stakeholders on data management processes and best practices.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Maintain proper documentation of master data policies, processes, and changes.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary data-related documentation.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Master Data Management or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of master data domains (e.g., vendor, customer, material, financial).
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle / Oracle fusion) and data management tools.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data validation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with data governance frameworks and tools.
- Knowledge of data automation solutions and process improvement methodologies.
- Prior experience in a shared services or global data management environment.
Familiarity with SQL or other database query languages.
