Role: We are looking for a passionate and experienced Procure To Pay expert. Join our team our Financial Team focusing on Accounts Payable for global clients. You will ensure accurate financial statements, compliance with IFRS, and contribute to process improvements in a dynamic environment.

The team
The Team strategic growth team serves as a central pillar driving growth and transformation within Deloitte, spanning several business lines and various technology functions.  We are established as a centralized team collaborating across consulting, implementation, and operation to maintain and enhance client value offerings and services. We innovate conventional approaches, leveraging Deloitte technology, differentiated domain expertise, intellectual property, talent, and capacity to embed continuous advantage and deliver enhanced business value.

In this team, our focus is on catering to the unique needs and preferences of clients in the South Asia region. Your role within this dynamic team is essential for establishing networks and relationships across the client stakeholder ecosystem and ensuring service fulfillment. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with other Deloitte leadership and stakeholders dedicated to the client. Your contributions will involve nurturing new and existing relationships, supporting presales life cycles, and playing a pivotal role in driving the success of Deloitte business growth for the specific client.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management and Leadership:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of accounts payable associates.
  • Set performance goals, monitor KPIs, and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Invoice and Payment Processing:

  • Oversee the end-to-end invoice processing workflow (PO and Non-PO) to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage and review payment runs, including checks, wire transfers, and ACH payments.
  • Ensure duplicate checks and controls are in place to prevent overpayments.

Vendor Management and Issue Resolution:

  • Serve as the escalation point for vendor queries and disputes.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders.

Process Improvement and Automation:

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Work on automation initiatives such as OCR, ERP upgrades, and AP workflow enhancements.
  • Develop and update SOPs for standardizing AP processes.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and SOX compliance.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing and providing necessary documentation.
  • Generate regular AP reports (aging reports, payment forecasts, accruals) and present insights to leadership.

Month-End and Year-End Activities:

  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes related to AP.
  • Ensure all liabilities are recorded accurately, and accounts are reconciled on time.

 

Desired qualifications

  • Bcom/BBA/Mcom/MBA any accounting certification is mandatory.
  • 4-7 years experience .
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

 

Location and way of working

  • Base location: Bengaluru
  • This profile involves frequent travelling to client locations
