The team

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accounting and Reporting Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. This role will primarily focus on managing a variety of financial accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing essential support to business units. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and the ability to work collaboratively with various internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Intercompany Activities:
  • Record intercompany transactions, ensuring proper elimination and reconciliation in line with accounting policies.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure accuracy of intercompany balances and resolve discrepancies.
  1. Accounting & Reporting:
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure financial reports are completed on time.
  1. GL Period End Activities:
  • Lead and perform general ledger (GL) period-end close activities, ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions and proper recording in the GL system.
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations as required for period-end activities.
  1. Bank Reconciliation and BS Account Reconciliation:
  • Review/Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies between the company’s bank accounts and financial records.
  • Review/Perform BS Account reconciliations.
  1. Financial Reporting:
  • Generate and analyze financial reports to provide key insights into the company’s financial health.
  • Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and consistency of all financial reports.
  1. Joint Venture Reporting:
  • Accounting for Investments in Associates & Joint Ventures
  1. BU Support:
  • Provide accounting support to business units (BUs) to ensure their financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with BUs to improve processes, resolve issues, and enhance financial understanding.
  1. Payroll Accounting:
  • Accounting and reporting of payroll transactions, ensuring that payroll costs are accurately recorded in the GL.
  • Work closely with the HR/Payroll team to resolve any discrepancies related to payroll.
  1. Treasury Accounting:
  • Handle treasury accounting activities, Reconcile Treasury Reval system and ensure reconciles with accounting system.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting for all treasury-related transactions.
  1. Fixed Asset Accounting:
  • Accounting and reporting for fixed assets, including asset acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation calculations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies in fixed asset management.

11. Tax:

o  Support Tax service teams to ensure compliance in Income tax accounting, GST accounting and SST accounting, creating tax provisions etc.

As a DM in our F&A Operate Team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations: -

 

A career within the transaction services team will provide a wide and valuable range of experience in an exciting, dynamic and challenging working and learning environment. The role will include the following activities:

  • Quickly developing an understanding of the target business and its drivers
  • Interpretation, evaluation and analysis of information memoranda, business plans, publicly available information on the target business
  • Production of quality deliverables (including Excel and Powerpoint documents) within agreed timescales, briefing Partner/Director/Senior Manager/Manager accordingly.  On larger deals this may involve responsibility for the production of discrete sections. This will include:
    • Review and analysis of historical trading, cash flow and balance sheets
    • Review and analysis of projections, and underlying assumptions
    • Reporting of potential key issues for our client including identification of risk or price affecting considerations
  • Work on a variety of transactions in a variety of industries from IPO's to large cross border acquisitions
  • Be part of cross border teams from 2 to 10 on engagements lasting from just a few days to several months
  • Work with some of the most intellectually stimulating clients
  • Assist clients from large multinationals, private equity houses to owner managed businesses
  • Longer term, potential opportunities for international secondment

 

Desired qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance.
  • 9-12 years of proven experience in financial accounting, reporting, and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (experience with ERP systems is a plus).
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
