The Enabling Areas – Information Technology team is responsible for building & maintaining different applications for Deloitte that focuses on providing employee experience.

 

Your work profile

As an Executive in our Server Operations (Information Technology) Team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations: -

 

The Senior Executive – Server Operations is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of on‑premise and cloud server infrastructure. This role ensures high availability, performance, security, and operational efficiency across Windows and Linux server environments. The position involves incident management, change execution, problem analysis, automation, documentation, and coordination with cross‑functional teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Server Administration

Manage and support Windows and Linux servers across production, DR, and non‑production environments.

Perform routine server maintenance including patching, updates, backups, and configuration management.

Monitor server health, capacity, and performance using enterprise monitoring tools.

2. Incident & Problem Management

Troubleshoot and resolve server‑related incidents, performance issues, and outages within defined SLAs.

Identify recurring issues and perform root‑cause analysis (RCA).

Implement corrective and preventive measures for long‑term stability.

3. Backup & Recovery

Manage server backups, restoration processes, and backup job optimization.

Coordinate with backup teams to validate policies, retention, and recovery readiness.

4. Security & Compliance

Apply server hardening standards and security baselines.

Ensure OS compliance for patching, audit findings, antivirus/EDR, and monitoring agents.

Support vulnerability remediation and work with SOC/InfoSec teams as required.

5. Change & Configuration Management

Prepare and execute change requests following ITIL best practices.

Document configurations, SOPs, knowledge articles, and deployment steps.

Review infrastructure changes and assess potential risk impacts.

6.    Collaboration & Support

Work closely with network, cloud, and application teams.

Provide technical inputs to projects, migrations, and DR drills.

Support business teams with technical requirements such as LDAP, server provisioning, certificates, and integrations.

 

Desired qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

2. ITIL certification preferred.

3. Cloud certifications (Azure/AWS/GCP) are an advantage.

 

Strong experience in:

1. Windows Server

2. Linux (Red Hat / Ubuntu / CentOS / Suse / Amazon Linux)

3. Active Directory, DNS, DHCP

4. VMware/Hyper‑V virtualization

5. Patch management tools (SCCM, WSUS, BigFix, etc.)

6. Backup tools such as Commvault, , Veeam, Backup Exec

7. Monitoring tools (Splunk, SolarWinds, SCOM, etc.)

 

Soft Skills

1. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

2. Good communication and documentation skills.

3. Stakeholder coordination and cross‑team collaboration.

4. Proactive approach toward automation and process improvement.

 

Experience

1. 3–6 years of relevant experience in server operations or system administration.

2. Hands‑on experience with enterprise‑scale environments preferred.
