JD for SAP Project Manager

The primary role of the SAP Project Manager will be to drive SAP Implementation & Transformation projects aligned with aligned with customer's Project/Product organization and/or relative IT/Business organization. For driving individual project, you will execute project management works such as Issue/Time/Cost/Risk/Communication/Quality/Resource/Session Managements. Responsible to lead project teams to develop and launch new product initiatives. Project Manager will plan and manage multiple related projects including, cost/benefit analysis, estimation of budgets, timelines, and resources required for successful and timely completion of projects. The SAP Project Manager will also assist in the development of measurement processes/methods for assessing progress towards goals and project outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Ø Understand the customer's requirements, business processes and solution landscape.

Ø Create detailed project plans and execute them

Ø Understand SAP project methodology and premium engagement’s services and drive adoption

Ø Coordinate involvement of SAP consultants and support resources and lead them in project

Ø Properly make reports and escalation to management or executive level

Ø Manage project scope, resources, budget, schedule to ensure that the project team members are meeting the deadlines and following the guidelines.

Ø Should have strong critical-thinking capabilities to solve problems and think about wide-ranging issues and facilitate decisions.

Ø Should be able to direct, manage and motivate the project team in multi-vendor and multi country environment.

Ø Handle the escalations and conflict within the project team.

Ø Have good working experience in stakeholder management, change management, communication plan, risk and mitigation, implementation, and cutover plan.

Ø Prepare Project status updates based on the stakeholders, handle Steering Meetings, Phase exits and Project meetings.

Required Skills:

Ø Overall  8-12 years of experience of which minimum 3 years should have been in project management

Ø Proven experience in leading SAP Implementation projects (should have handled at least 2 implementations end to end)

Ø MUST have strong Functional knowledge in any of the SAP Modules like FI, CO, SD, MM, PP, PM, QM.  EXCLUDE people with experience in ABAP, BASIS, BO, BW and HCM

Ø MUST have worked on SAP S/4 HANA and ECC

Ø Should have strong project management skills

Ø MUST have worked with MNCs/International clients as well

Ø Experience in Project Management Tools

Ø Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal & presentation skills

Ø Certifications like PMP/Agile/Scrum Master/Prince2 is preferred.

Ø Good leadership, inter-personal and motivational skills

Ø Experience in Cloud solutions

Ø MNC with Multi geography

Ø Activate Methodology experience

Ø Bachelors in engineering (preferably Computer Science) or equivalent

Ø Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.

Ø Knowledge and experience of other agile, lean and DevOps approaches (e.g., XP, Kanban, TDD, continuous integration, continuous delivery, automation, etc.)

Ø Ability to interact with all levels of the organization in a professional, diplomatic and tactful manner. 

Ø Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
