Job Title: Manager | AWS | Bengaluru | Engineering
Lead and manage multiple AWS cloud operation-related projects, including infrastructure optimization, cloud migrations, service management, and continuous improvements.
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
Coordinate cross-functional teams (operations, developers, architects, and business stakeholders) to deliver successful AWS cloud projects.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.
Oversee the ongoing operations of AWS cloud environments, ensuring that services are optimized, secure, and aligned with business needs.
Monitor and manage AWS resources such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, and VPC to ensure they meet performance, security, and cost requirements.
Provide leadership in the resolution of complex cloud incidents and problems, driving root cause analysis and resolution.
Ensure high availability and resilience of AWS cloud services, working to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of project goals, progress, and outcomes.
Work closely with business teams to align AWS projects with business objectives, and provide input on strategic cloud initiatives.
Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating them to leadership when necessary.
Ensure compliance with best practices in project management, including monitoring and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for cloud performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of project progress, changes, and issues, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Optimization & Cost Management:
Lead efforts to continuously optimize AWS infrastructure and services, ensuring efficient resource utilization, cost management, and performance tuning.
Implement and monitor AWS cost optimization strategies such as right-sizing, Reserved Instances, and auto-scaling.
Develop and track key metrics and reporting to assess project success and operational performance.
Lead, mentor, and coach a team of cloud engineers and operators, ensuring a collaborative and productive work environment.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging learning, innovation, and adoption of new technologies and best practices in cloud operations.
