Key Responsibilities: 

• Calypso Business Analyst will be responsible for leading business analysis initiatives related to the Calypso trading platform across front-to-back-office functions. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and project managers to gather requirements, design solutions, and drive successful implementation of Calypso enhancements and transformation programs within capital markets environments.

Lead the end-to-end requirements gathering process by interacting with business stakeholders including Front Office, Risk, Operations, and Finance teams to understand trading, risk, and settlement workflows.

• Provide deep functional expertise on the Calypso platform, including trade lifecycle management, pricing, risk management, collateral management, and settlement processes.

• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, business requirement documents (BRDs), functional requirement documents (FRDs), and user stories aligned with Calypso capabilities.

• Act as the key liaison between business users and technology teams to ensure clarity of requirements, alignment of expectations, and timely delivery of solutions.

• Lead and manage large transformation initiatives related to Calypso implementation, migration, upgrades, and enhancements while ensuring adherence to project governance and timelines.

• Analyze front-to-back trade lifecycle processes including trade capture, confirmation, settlement, collateral, accounting, and reporting within Calypso.

• Oversee test strategy, coordinate SIT and UAT activities, validate business scenarios, and ensure solutions meet business and regulatory requirements.

• Work with technology teams on system integrations involving Calypso and upstream/downstream systems such as market data platforms, risk systems, and accounting systems.

• Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the trading and operations environment using Calypso functionalities.

• Mentor junior business analysts and contribute to building domain expertise within the team while ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Key skills required: 

• 10 – 15 years of experience in capital markets technology or business analysis roles.

• At least 5+ years of hands-on experience working with the Calypso platform.

• Strong experience working with the Calypso trading platform.

• In-depth understanding of capital markets and derivative products such as FX, Fixed Income, Interest Rate Derivatives, and Credit products.

• Experience with front-to-back trade lifecycle management.

• Expertise in business analysis, requirement gathering, and functional documentation.

• Strong understanding of Calypso modules such as Trading, Risk, Collateral, and Back Office operations.

• Experience in Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.

• Ability to manage stakeholder communication and senior leadership interactions

 Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.

• Experience in investment banking or capital markets technology projects.

• Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP/PMI-PBA) or Project Management (PMP/Prince2) is an advantage.

• Prior experience in large-scale Calypso implementations or migrations
