Job Summary: 

We are looking for an experienced Camunda Developer / Workflow Architect with 8–12 years of software engineering experience and strong expertise in enterprise workflow orchestration, distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native architecture.

The candidate will provide technical leadership for Camunda-based solutions and will be responsible for architecture, process design, integration strategy, implementation standards, deployment, scalability, and production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define architecture for enterprise-scale Camunda 8 workflow solutions.
• Design complex BPMN 2.0 processes and establish enterprise BPMN modelling standards.
• Design workflow orchestration patterns using Zeebe, workers, connectors, APIs, events, and human tasks.
• Determine appropriate boundaries between Camunda processes, microservices, APIs, RPA, and business rules.
• Design highly available, scalable, and resilient workflow solutions.
• Define patterns for retries, error handling, compensation, idempotency, timeouts, and long-running processes.
• Design event-driven architectures using Kafka or equivalent technologies.
• Lead integration architecture across REST APIs, databases, ERP/CRM systems, messaging systems, and legacy applications.
• Define process versioning, deployment, migration, and backward-compatibility strategies.
• Establish CI/CD and DevOps standards for BPMN/DMN deployment.
• Design and review Camunda 8 SaaS and/or Self-Managed architectures.
• Work with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, cloud platforms, and observability solutions.
• Lead production troubleshooting, performance analysis, and capacity planning.
• Define security, authorization, audit, and operational governance for workflow solutions.
• Evaluate and implement RPA integrations where API-based integration is not feasible.
• Evaluate AI-agent and MCP-based integrations for intelligent workflow use cases while maintaining appropriate process controls.
• Mentor senior and junior developers and conduct architecture/design reviews.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and engineering leadership.

Required Skills: 

• 8–12 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Camunda 8.
• Expert-level understanding of BPMN 2.0.
• Strong Java/Spring Boot experience.
• Strong microservices and distributed-systems knowledge.
• REST/API and event-driven architecture.
• Kafka or equivalent messaging technology.
• Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Docker and Kubernetes.
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Strong production troubleshooting and system-design experience.

Expected Capability:

The candidate should be able to own the solution across the complete lifecycle:

Business Requirement → Process Architecture → BPMN/DMN Design → Integration Architecture → Development → CI/CD → Cloud Deployment → Monitoring → Production Support → Optimization.

The candidate should also establish reusable Camunda architecture and development standards and provide technical leadership across multiple teams/projects.
