Your work profile

We are seeking an experienced MES Opcenter / Ignition Solution Architect to design, architect, and deliver Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Industrial Digitalization solutions across manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Siemens Opcenter MES, Inductive Automation Ignition, Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM), ISA-95 standards, and Industry 4.0 technologies.

Solution Architecture & Design

• Design and implement scalable MES solutions using Siemens Opcenter and Ignition Platform.
• Define end-to-end architecture encompassing MES, SCADA, PLC, ERP, Historian, and IIoT systems.
• Develop functional and technical solution blueprints for manufacturing execution and digital transformation initiatives.
• Establish MES system standards, frameworks, and best practices across multiple manufacturing sites.
• Lead architecture reviews and technical governance activities.

MES Implementation

• Lead deployment, configuration, and customization of Siemens Opcenter modules.
• Design workflows, production processes, genealogy, traceability, quality management, and electronic batch records.
• Configure manufacturing models, resources, production orders, and master data structures.
• Support MES migration, upgrades, and modernization projects.

Ignition Development & Integration

• Architect and oversee Ignition-based solutions including:
• Perspective
• Vision
• Gateway scripting
• Reporting
• Alarm Management
• Tag Management
• Design SCADA/MES dashboards and manufacturing KPIs.
• Develop integration strategies using MQTT, REST APIs, OPC-UA, SQL databases, and web services.

Enterprise Integration

• Define and implement integrations between:
• Siemens Opcenter
• SAP ERP/S4HANA
• Oracle ERP
• PLM systems
• Historians
• WMS and LIMS systems
• Design data exchange architectures using APIs, middleware, and message brokers.
• Ensure data consistency, security, and performance across integrated systems.

Leadership & Consulting

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand manufacturing requirements.
• Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Lead technical workshops, solution assessments, and design sessions.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to MES developers and engineers.
• Support pre-sales activities, solution estimations, and proposal development.

Industry 4.0 & Digital Manufacturing

• Drive smart manufacturing initiatives leveraging:
• IIoT
• Edge Computing
• Digital Twins
• Advanced Analytics
• Real-time Production Monitoring
• Recommend innovative technologies and digital manufacturing roadmaps.

Key skills required

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
• Computer Science
• Information Technology
• Electronics Engineering
• Industrial Engineering
• Automation Engineering
• Related discipline

Experience

• 7-10 years of experience in Manufacturing IT, MES, MOM, or Industrial Automation.
• Minimum 4+ years working with Siemens Opcenter MES.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience with Ignition Platform implementations.
• Proven experience delivering full lifecycle MES projects across manufacturing environments.
