Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically strong Development Lead to lead the design, customization, and implementation of Siemens Opcenter MOM solutions for discrete manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Opcenter architecture, hands-on development experience, and a strong understanding of manufacturing operations. This is a technical leadership role with delivery ownership, team coordination, and client-facing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end technical design and development of Siemens Opcenter MOM (including Execution Discrete, Quality, APS, etc.) for large-scale manufacturing deployments.
• Collaborate with architects, functional analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Guide a team of developers in implementing custom features, business rules, interfaces, and data models within the Opcenter platform.
• Design and implement integrations with ERP systems (e.g., SAP), PLM, SCADA, and other enterprise applications using APIs, web services, and standard connectors.
• Manage development lifecycle activities including code reviews, performance tuning, defect triage, and release coordination.
• Enforce best practices for modular development, version control, documentation, and change management.
• Support pre-sales or discovery activities by contributing to solutioning and technical estimation.
• Provide technical mentoring, code oversight, and training to junior developers and analysts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7–10 years of IT experience with at least 3+ years leading Siemens Opcenter MOM development (formerly SIMATIC IT).
• Expertise in Opcenter modules: Execution Discrete, Quality, APS, Maintenance, or Advanced Reporting.
• Strong knowledge of MES architecture, manufacturing workflows, production traceability, and ISA-95 compliance.
• Proficient in .NET, C#, JavaScript, SQL, XML, and custom UI/workflow development within Opcenter.
• Experience in integrating Opcenter with SAP and other enterprise systems using web services, REST, or OPC.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD tools, and version control systems like Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and optimize large, distributed systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in discrete manufacturing domains such as automotive, electronics, or industrial machinery.
• Siemens Opcenter certification or training credentials.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery models and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Experience in team leadership, stakeholder communication, and project delivery management.
