Principal UI/UX Designer (Banking Domain)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal UI/UX Designer with a strong background in designing intuitive, visually appealing, and user-centric experiences for complex banking applications. The ideal candidate will combine design excellence with a solid understanding of modern front-end technologies to bridge the gap between design and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces aligned with business objectives and UX best practices.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and key stakeholders to transform requirements into intuitive user experiences.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and design validation activities to ensure seamless customer journeys.
• Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and design specifications using tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• Partner with front-end engineering teams to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of designs.
• Leverage and contribute to design systems and component libraries to ensure consistency and scalability across applications.
• Support UI testing and quality assurance activities to validate design accuracy and usability.
• Stay current with emerging design trends, technologies, and industry best practices to drive continuous innovation.
• Mentor junior designers and promote design governance and standards across projects.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of UI/UX design experience, preferably within the Banking or Financial Services domain.
• Strong understanding of User Experience principles, Design Thinking methodologies, and Accessibility standards.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, with working knowledge of React and TypeScript for effective design-to-development collaboration.
• Experience in responsive design and cross-platform application development.
• Basic understanding of backend integration concepts and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to lead design initiatives and mentor junior team members.
