We are seeking a GCP (Google Cloud Platform) Infrastructure Manager to lead, manage, and optimize enterprise-scale cloud environments hosted on GCP. This role is designed for a hands-on technical leader who brings strong expertise in GCP infrastructure engineering, cloud governance, platform operations, and solution delivery.
The ideal candidate will combine technical depth with leadership skills to manage cloud delivery, ensure operational excellence, and drive adoption of modern cloud-native capabilities across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the GCP Infrastructure Lead, providing technical direction across architecture, deployment, operations, and optimization.
• Implement and govern GCP Landing Zones, IAM policies, VPC architecture, Project governance, and Organization-level controls.
• Lead engineering teams in building scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure using Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Load Balancing, and related services.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption using Terraform, Deployment Manager, and DevOps automation pipelines.
• Work with cross-functional teams to design and deliver cloud-native solutions aligned to business goals.
• Manage cloud financials, including budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization (FinOps), and usage governance.
• Oversee operational activities including incident response, problem management, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.
• Lead cloud observability initiatives using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Cloud Trace, Error Reporting, and Alerting.
• Strengthen security posture using IAM Recommender, Security Command Center, VPC Service Controls, Cloud Armor, and KMS.
• Mentor cloud engineers and drive capability uplift through best practices, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with cloud standards, security policies, and regulatory controls.
Key skills required:
• 8+ years of IT infrastructure or cloud experience, with at least 3–5 years in GCP environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise with GCP services: Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, VPC, IAM, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Operations Suite.
• Demonstrated experience in GCP architecture design, platform engineering, and cloud security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, GCP CLI, Python, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts such as VPC design, Interconnect, Private Service Connect, and firewall architectures.
• Experience with FinOps practices, cost governance, and consumption management.
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and collaborate with business stakeholders.
• GCP certifications (Associate or Professional Level) preferred.
• Knowledge of cloud compliance frameworks (ISO, SOC2, PCI-DSS, etc.) is an added advantage.
• Exposure to multi-cloud environments (GCP + AWS/Azure).
• Experience with Managed Services, Consulting, or System Integration backgrounds.
• Experience with Kubernetes (GKE) and container orchestration at scale.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
