The Corporate Card Operations Manager is a strategic and people-focused leader responsible for overseeing a team that manages the day-to-day operations and execution of HPE’s corporate card programs. This role supports the Global Corporate Card Program Manager in operationalizing the framework for Travel, Purchasing, and Meeting Cards across multiple geographies. The manager ensures compliance, drives operational efficiency, and enhances the value delivered to the organization through effective team leadership and strategic oversight.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team responsible for executing corporate card operations across Travel, Purchasing, and Meeting Cards.
  • Partner with the Card Program Manager to operationalize the card program framework and support various strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure all card usage complies with HPE policies and global standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Concur Expense, Finance, IT, Solutions, and GP Help Desk to ensure seamless card operations.
  • Oversee card lifecycle activities: issuance, renewals, cancellations, and reconciliation processes for corporate card transactions.
  • Maintain a healthy program with minimal/no late fees, accurate accounting, and timely payments.
  • Support compliance and audit activities, including data provision, investigations, and resolution of audit findings.
  • Drive automation, digital transformation, and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
  • Partner with Citibank to manage operational requirements, explore enhancements, and improve service levels.
  • Support Mergers & Acquisitions where card programs are involved, ensuring smooth integration and transition.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members, supporting their day-to-day needs and career growth.
  • Align staffing and budgeting with operational needs and strategic goals.
  • Maintain and update the Card Operations Manual with current systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Handle sensitive employee card data with precision and confidentiality.
  • Define and track performance metrics to monitor team effectiveness and individual development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate card operations, preferably in a regulated industry and across multiple regions.
  • Strong understanding of corporate card program management, including reconciliation, compliance, and vendor coordination.
  • Familiarity with Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and accounting principles.
  • Experience working with internal controls, audit protocols, and banking regulations related to corporate cards.
  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships, especially with card providers like Citibank.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; experience with card data files and analytical tools (e.g., Qlik Sense) is a plus.
