Job Title:  Manager | Java | Bengaluru | SAP

Job Summary:

As a Manager and Developer Lead specializing in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and Java development, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of cloud-native applications and integrations on SAP BTP. You will manage a team of developers, collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, and drive best practices in Java-based SAP solutions to support digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and performant applications on SAP BTP using Java technologies.
• Architect cloud-native solutions leveraging SAP BTP services such as SAP Cloud Foundry, Kyma, and SAP Integration Suite.
• Manage, mentor, and guide a team of Java developers to deliver high-quality software components.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and clients to translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Drive adoption of agile development practices, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps principles in SAP BTP projects.
• Oversee code reviews, unit testing, performance optimization, and deployment activities.
• Ensure seamless integration of SAP BTP applications with SAP S/4HANA, third-party systems, and APIs.
• Support pre-sales and client engagement activities through technical presentations, demos, and solution workshops.
• Stay updated with the latest SAP BTP offerings, Java frameworks, and cloud technologies to continuously improve delivery capabilities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of software development experience with at least 4 years in Java development.
• Strong expertise in SAP BTP platform services and cloud-native application development.
• Hands-on experience with Java EE, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with SAP Cloud Foundry, Kyma, SAP Integration Suite, and related SAP BTP components.
• Proven experience leading development teams and delivering enterprise-grade SAP solutions.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies, DevOps, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven, etc.).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• SAP certifications related to BTP and Java development are a plus.

Preferred:

• Experience integrating SAP BTP applications with SAP S/4HANA and other SAP cloud solutions.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud infrastructure.
• Prior consulting experience with Big Four or global professional services firms.
• Knowledge of frontend technologies (e.g., SAP UI5/Fiori, React) is an added advantage.
