Your work profile
As Manager in our Cyber Team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations: -
The Manager – SME for Network Security is responsible for leading and managing the design, implementation, and operational excellence of advanced network and cloud security platforms across enterprise and customer environments. This role requires deep expertise in AlgoSec, Cloudflare, and Palo Alto firewalls, along with strong L3-level proficiency in Zscaler ZIA and ZPA. The manager will oversee a team of engineers and analysts, ensuring the continuous delivery of secure connectivity, policy compliance, and threat prevention solutions. This role plays a pivotal part in driving security architecture standards, handling escalations, delivering engineering solutions, and aligning operations with business and regulatory requirements. A core focus will be on optimizing performance, automating workflows, maintaining service reliability, and mentoring the team to handle complex network security challenges in both on-prem and hybrid cloud environments.
Cloudflare (Expert Level):
- Design and deploy Cloudflare Zero Trust architecture with gateway filtering, identity-based access, and secure tunneling.
- Implement Web Application Firewall (WAF) rules, bot management, DDoS protection, and custom security policies.
- Configure and manage load balancing, SSL/TLS policies, and global CDN rules to optimize security and performance.
- Maintain and monitor Cloudflare Access for SaaS/Private applications, ensuring seamless and secure user experience.
- Integrate Cloudflare logs and telemetry into SIEM platforms for monitoring and threat analysis.
- Handle change implementations, incident resolution, and proactive policy updates for all protected web assets.
Palo Alto Firewalls (Expert Level):
- Architect, configure, and maintain Palo Alto Next-Gen Firewalls (on-prem and VM-Series in cloud environments).
- Develop security policies, NAT, decryption rules, App-ID, and URL filtering in accordance with business use cases.
- Leverage Panorama for centralized firewall management, reporting, device groups, and template stacks.
- Perform traffic analysis, log correlation, and packet capture for advanced troubleshooting of application and access issues.
- Implement and tune Threat Prevention, WildFire, DNS security, and User-ID policies to improve threat detection and control.
- Conduct firewall upgrades, health checks, and periodic audits as part of operational hygiene.
Zscaler ZIA / ZPA (L3 Level):
- Provide advanced support and configuration of ZIA (Internet Access) including SSL inspection, FWaaS, DLP, and bandwidth control policies.
- Manage ZPA (Private Access) configurations such as access policy tuning, App Connector deployments, and segmentation rules.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to Zscaler Client Connector, authentication (SAML, SCIM), and access anomalies.
- Collaborate with Zscaler support and engineering teams for escalations, root cause analysis, and architecture alignment.
- Monitor traffic via Zscaler dashboards, logs, and alerts, and generate operational reports.
- Assist in onboarding new applications into ZIA/ZPA environments securely and efficiently.
Network Security Operations:
- Respond to security incidents, policy violations, and user access issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitor logs and alerts from firewalls, Zscaler, Cloudflare, and AlgoSec via SIEM and custom dashboards.
- Ensure alignment with internal compliance, customer-specific SLAs, and regulatory frameworks.
- Maintain thorough documentation of configurations, SOPs, change records, and system diagrams.
- Participate in change management processes, including impact analysis, peer reviews, CAB meetings, and post-change validations.
- Support disaster recovery testing, capacity planning, and business continuity initiatives.
- Act as a technical authority and escalation point for complex network and cloud security issues.
- Lead and participate in design, architecture reviews, and major change implementations.
- Work closely with SOC, Cloud, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless and secure application delivery.
- Drive automation, reporting, and compliance initiatives across the supported platforms.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and support personnel.
- Maintain alignment with evolving threat landscapes and propose proactive defenses.
Desired qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or Business Management is preferred.
- Experience:
- 7–10+ years in Network and Cloud Security.
- Expert-level experience in:
- AlgoSec (FireFlow, Analyzer, Business Flow)
- Cloudflare (WAF, Zero Trust, Gateway, DDoS)
- Palo Alto NGFW (Panorama, Threat Prevention, Wildfire)
- Strong L3 hands-on with: ZIA/ZPA – access policies, App connector, SSL inspection, logs
- Familiarity with automation and scripting (Python, API, Terraform – optional).
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, BGP, routing, segmentation)
- Certifications:
- Palo Alto PCNSE
- AlgoSec Certified Professional
- Zscaler ZIA/ZPA Certified Engineer (ZCCE/ZCNA)
- Cloudflare Zero Trust certifications (if available)
- CCNP Security, CISSP, or equivalent (added advantage)
