Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management:
  • Lead the design, deployment, and management of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, including Compute, Storage, Networking, Database, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and more.
  • Oversee daily operations and ensure optimal performance of OCI environments, including troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure issues.
  • Manage OCI resource provisioning, cost management, and optimize cloud usage for cost efficiency.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Manage and mentor a team of cloud engineers and administrators responsible for OCI operations.
  • Ensure that the team adheres to best practices, governance, and security protocols while working on OCI projects.
  • Architecture and Strategy:
  • Work closely with architects to design scalable, secure, and high-availability infrastructure solutions on OCI.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to align OCI strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Security & Compliance:
  • Oversee the implementation of OCI security best practices, including identity management, data encryption, and network security.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and internal company policies for cloud infrastructure.
  • Automation & Optimization:
  • Drive automation initiatives within the OCI environment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Oracle Cloud's native automation tools.
  • Proactively monitor, optimize, and scale OCI resources to meet business demands.
  • Incident & Change Management:
  • Manage incident response and resolve cloud infrastructure-related issues quickly to minimize service disruptions.
  • Oversee change management processes and ensure minimal downtime during system updates or maintenance activities.
  • Collaboration and Reporting:
  • Collaborate with other IT teams (e.g., development, security, network) to ensure OCI is aligned with the overall IT strategy.
  • Provide regular status reports on OCI performance, improvements, and future infrastructure plans to senior leadership.
