Your work profile
We are seeking a highly experienced OpenShift SME to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of enterprise‑grade container platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep hands‑on expertise in Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and related cloud‑native technologies, with the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and resolve complex platform issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, installation, configuration, and upgrades of Red Hat OpenShift clusters.
- Manage and troubleshoot Kubernetes cluster operations, including nodes, networking, storage, and security.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows using ArgoCD, Tekton, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Implement robust cluster security, including RBAC, network policies, secrets management, OAuth/SSO, and vulnerability scanning.
- Configure and maintain OpenShift Operators, Ingress Controllers, Service Mesh, and OperatorHub components.
- Administer container image registries (OpenShift Registry, Quay, Nexus, Artifactory).
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and node lifecycle management.
- Implement monitoring and logging using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, EFK/ELK, Splunk, Datadog, or similar.
- Integrate OpenShift with enterprise storage, network, and cloud services.
- Drive automation using Ansible, Terraform, Helm, and scripting (Bash/Python).
- Provide L3/L4 troubleshooting support for critical issues.
- Maintain architecture diagrams, SOPs, and detailed documentation.
- Mentor DevOps teams and provide platform‑related guidance.
Key skills required:
- 8+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years in OpenShift/Kubernetes administration.
- Strong hands‑on expertise with:
- Red Hat OpenShift (OCP 3.x/4.x)
- Kubernetes core components
- Docker/Podman containers
- Helm, Operators, Tekton, ArgoCD
- Deep knowledge of:
- Cluster networking (SDN/OVN-K, ingress, routes)
- Persistent storage (CSI drivers, RWX/RWO concepts)
- Linux (RHEL) administration
- Cluster security, RBAC, certificates, OAuth
- Strong automation experience with Ansible, Terraform, Helm, and YAML.
- Proficient in scripting (Bash/Python).
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience working in DevOps or Agile environments.
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Red Hat certifications: EX280, EX288, RHCE, DO280.
- Experience with:
- OpenShift Service Mesh / Istio
- Knative (Serverless)
- API gateways
- Hybrid cloud setups
- SRE practices and observability stacks
