Role Overview

Oracle SOA SME to lead, manage, and provide technical expertise in Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and related middleware technologies. The role requires a strong combination of hands-on expertise, solution architecture, and team leadership to deliver high-quality integration solutions, streamline operations, and ensure alignment with business goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management
  • Lead and mentor a team of Oracle SOA/OIC developers and integration specialists.
  • Define integration standards, best practices, and governance processes.
  • Ensure on-time, high-quality delivery of integration projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (business, IT, and vendors) to drive integration strategy.
  • Solution Design & Delivery
  • Architect and implement complex integration solutions using Oracle SOA Suite (BPEL, Mediator, OSB, BPM, and Human Workflow).
  • Oversee migration and modernization initiatives (SOA → OIC or Hybrid Cloud Integration).
  • Conduct impact analysis, performance tuning, and ensure scalability of integration solutions.
  • Ensure integrations align with enterprise architecture and security standards.
  • Operational Excellence
  • Provide L3 support and act as an escalation point for critical production incidents.
  • Establish monitoring, alerting, and proactive issue resolution for SOA environments.
  • Drive automation of deployment and CI/CD pipelines for SOA components.
  • Manage SLAs, KPIs, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with business units to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Work closely with Oracle and third-party vendors for issue resolution and roadmap alignment.
  • Support audits, compliance checks, and security reviews.

 
Requirements:

 

  •  Technical Expertise
  • 10+ years of IT experience with at least 6+ years in Oracle SOA Suite (11g/12c) and OIC.
  • Deep expertise in BPEL, Mediator, OSB, BPM, Human Workflow, and Adapters (JMS, File, DB, REST, SOAP).
  • Strong experience in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), API integrations, REST/SOAP services, and Cloud-on-Premises hybrid integration.
  • Hands-on knowledge of WebLogic Server Administration, clustering, tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Exposure to Oracle ERP, HCM, and SCM Cloud integrations.
  • Management & Leadership
  • Proven experience managing integration teams (onsite/offshore).
  • Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Maven).
  • Knowledge of microservices, API Gateway, and Kubernetes/Containers.
  • Oracle certifications in SOA Suite and/or Integration Cloud.
