Job Title:  Manager | SAP ABAP HANA | Bengaluru | SAP

Job Summary:

As a Manager and Developer Lead specializing in ABAP RAP, SAP UI5, and SAP HANA Database development, you will lead design and delivery of cutting-edge SAP solutions on SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform. You will manage a team of developers, drive technical excellence, and collaborate with business and functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance applications aligned with client objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead development projects focusing on ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), SAP UI5 frontend development, and SAP HANA database optimizations.
• Architect and design efficient, modular, and scalable solutions on SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP.
• Manage, mentor, and guide a team of ABAP and UI5 developers, promoting best practices, code quality, and innovation.
• Collaborate closely with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs.
• Oversee code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting for SAP ABAP and UI5 applications.
• Drive adoption of agile methodologies and DevOps practices in SAP development projects.
• Ensure timely delivery of development milestones with high quality standards.
• Support pre-sales activities, technical presentations, and client workshops.
• Stay updated with SAP’s evolving technology stack, tools, and frameworks, and evangelize innovations within the team.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in SAP development with hands-on expertise in ABAP RAP, SAP UI5, and SAP HANA database.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture, CDS views, OData services, and UI5 frameworks.
• Proven experience leading SAP development teams and delivering complex projects.
• Familiarity with SAP BTP, cloud-native development, and integration scenarios.
• Solid understanding of Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines in SAP environments.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Development Specialist - ABAP for SAP HANA) are a plus.

Preferred:

• Experience in SAP Fiori Elements and Smart Controls development.
• Exposure to SAP Cloud SDK and multi-cloud deployment strategies.
• Prior consulting experience with a Big Four or global professional services firm.
