Job Summary:

As a Manager in the Software Development & Systems (SDS) practice at Deloitte, you will lead teams in delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing software solutions tailored to client needs. You will be responsible for driving end-to-end project delivery, managing client relationships, guiding technical architecture, and mentoring cross-functional teams. This role requires a deep understanding of modern application development, cloud-native architecture, DevOps, and Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale software solutions using modern technologies and frameworks.
• Manage and guide cross-functional teams across software engineering, DevOps, QA, and architecture.
• Define and oversee technical architecture, system design, and integration strategies for client engagements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and product owners to align technical deliverables with strategic objectives.
• Drive agile project execution, sprint planning, backlog management, and delivery tracking using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.
• Ensure adherence to secure coding practices, performance standards, and enterprise architecture guidelines.
• Oversee DevOps pipelines and CI/CD setup for automated deployment, testing, and monitoring.
• Provide leadership in code reviews, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
• Act as a technical advisor to clients and internal stakeholders on technology trends, product evaluations, and digital transformation.
• Support pre-sales activities, including proposal writing, solution design, and effort estimation.
• Build and mentor high-performing development teams and foster a culture of engineering excellence.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development with at least 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering complex, cloud-native applications using:
• Java / .NET / Node.js / Python
• Front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue)
• Microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
• Deep understanding of Agile, Scrum, and SAFe frameworks.

Preferred:

• Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Agile, or project management (e.g., PMP, CSM).
• Experience with enterprise integration platforms, API gateways, and serverless architectures.
• Exposure to AI/ML integration, API monetization, or platform engineering is a plus.
• Previous experience in a consulting or client-facing delivery environment.
